Diamond merchant Laljibhai Patel trapped in controversies over international sports stadium - Tv9 Gujarati

Surat: The Diamond trader Laljibhai Patel who bought Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pinstriped suit for Rs 4.31 crore at an auction is again trapped in controversy over building international sports stadium in Variav village. In any town planning scheme, there is a provision of deducting 40% of land from private occupier for granting development permission in the development plan area of a city. The chairman of Dharmanandan Diamond Laljibhai Patel proposed to allot him land to build an international sports stadium and after deduction of 40%, land was given to him but now he is demanding the land back which has landed him controversy.
