Heavy downpours hit south China

Torrential downpours have been sweeping through provinces in east and south China since Sunday, inundating villages, flooding rivers and damaging houses.
According to the meteorological department in Jiangxi Province, 12 counties in the province have experienced downpours with over 100 millimeters being recorded.
