MQM Announces Two Days Of Mourning On The Extrajudicial Murder Of Waseem Dehlvi

MQM Co-ordination Committee strongly condemned the extrajudicial murder of Waseem Dehlvi in police custody, worker of Unit 117 of Baldia Town Sector. It announced to observe two days of mourning to protest against the brutality.
MQM worker Waseem Dehlvi and his two brothers Naeem Dehlvi and Adil Dehlvi were arrested two days ago by plain-clothes police personnel from their shop in Baldia Town.
Higher officials of the police department were contact soon after their arrests, but no one was ready to disclose their location. Waseem was subjected to inhuman physical torture in custody due to which he died today.
MQM Co-ordination Committee condemned the extrajudicial killing of Waseem Dehlvi and announced to observe two days of mourning on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Co-ordination Committee has appealed to transporters, shopkeepers, schools, and all citizens to raise their voice against the brutal extrajudicial killings that have started once again in Karachi. The committee asked them to keep their businesses closed.
The Co-ordination Committee said that the post-mortem report of Waseem Dehlvi had also confirmed severe torture in police custody. It demanded exemplary punishment to the police personnel responsible for the crime.
MQM Founder and Leader Altaf Hussain has endorsed the decision of the Co-ordination Committee for observing two days of mourning.
Mr Hussain extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family members and prayed Almighty Allah to bless the departed soul.
