The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the Pacca Qila tragedy was the darkest history of the country and could not be forgotten.
In a statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief said that the security personnel invaded Pacca Qila Hyderabad on 26th and 27th May 1990 after disconnecting the basic necessities of the people, including water, gas and electricity. He said that the women and elders came out of their homes having holy Quran on their heads to save their children.
Mr. Hussain said that the members of Urdu-speaking community, including women, children, young and old, all were massacred by the tyrants and their stooges during a 2-day assault. He said that they did not allow the victims to be buried according to the Islamic rituals.
MQM Leader said that the sacred blood of the martyrs would not be wasted and the mission would soon be reached at the destination. He prayed Almighty Allah to confer high eternal ranks to the victims of the carnage and give courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss.
