Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani's request for a passport has become a new pinprick in ties between the two allies in the Kashmir Valley. Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti - openly supporting Geelani's demand - saying the separatist leader should be issued a passport. But shouldn't Geelani first pledge allegiance to India before seeking an Indian passport?
