Ohio woman shot by ex-husband and kicked by boyfriend in fight

In the Maltese Falcon, Sydney Greenstreet pours a drink for Humphrey Bogart and says "I distrust a man who says 'when.' If he's got to be careful not to drink too much, it's because he's not to be trusted when he does."
Well these two winners from Ohio definitely don't know when to say "when." Gary Shussler and Tony Molchak both stand accused of a variety of crimes after getting in a fight, then variously kicking or shooting the woman with whom they are both romantically involved. It all started when Tony Molchak dropped off his teen daughter, custody of whom he shares with his ex-wife, Shelly Molchak. Tony and Shelly, who lives with her new boyfriend, Gary Shussler, got in an argument over visitation rights with their daughter. Gary got into the act, and Shelly took out her phone and started filming the two trailer park titans, perhaps in anticipation of getting some daytime TV worthy footage to sell to Maury Povich.
If she knew she'd be filming her own beating and shooting, maybe she would have put the phone away and gotten the hell out of there. Instead, she captures the moment Tony throws a slew of punches at the much taller Gary, who had been drinking heavily. Then Gary pulls out a revolver, scaring off Tony, and bewildering Shelly, who can be heard on tape exclaiming "You got a F***ing gun!?" At that moment, for reasons not readily apparent to the non-Ohioan mind, Gary high-kicks the phone out of Shelly's hand, causing himself to drop the gun. Tony jumps back into the fold, seizes the weapon, and shoots his ex-wife. She lived, but both men were arrested, and another white trash tail goes into the history books.
