Kids tortured to death at Chinese rehab camp for internet addiction

A rehab boot camp for juvenile web junkies in China's Henan province was accused of torture as a 19-year-old came out as a dead body, and another forteen-year-old, with broken neck and several injuries.
Some night last month, 19-year-old Ling Ling (靈靈) and 14-year-old Hsin Hsin (新新) were called out by their counselor, Ma Yan-fei (馬豔飛), for their poor performance in a group exercise earlier that morning. They were both dropped on the concrete outside their dorm room multiple times as punishment by Ma and other counselors. Hsin Hsin said she heard the sound of her neck breaking as they tossed them on the ground over and over again like sandbags.
They begged for forgiveness, but Ma showed no mercy. Instead, she ordered the others to continue the torture. At one point, Ling Ling passed out after choking up blood, but they proceeded with the abuse. After a while, she was dragged back to the dorm, and sent to the hospital by the resident advisor. She was pronounced dead on arrival by the doctor.
Doctors also found disarticulation at the joints in Hsin Hsin's neck and traces of self mutilation at her wrists.
When Ling Ling's mother visited the camp afterwards, SOS notes and drawings were thrown out from the windows by students locked up in there. Some parents have already taken their children home. Others, however, agree to the inhumane treatment in the camp.
The institution has been stripped of its license, and the counselors involved have been detained.
