Although the GST Bill has crossed the Lok Sabha hurdle, the road ahead is full of challenges as it pass the Rajya Sabha too, where NDA is indeed a minority. If we do a recap, the GST bill will put in place a simpler tax structure, lead to an increase in tax revenue and ensure competitive pricing. But Congress and allies could command around 80 votes and the bill has to be passed by 2/3rd of all members present in Rajya Sabha.
