A Brooklyn woman tried to give teens some advice. In return they gave her a concussion

On the afternoon of September 10, three teen girls were chatting noisily on the crowded G train in Brooklyn. The girls were using offensive language that was easily heard by everyone.

A woman named Amanda, who isn’t disclosing her last name because she wants to remain anonymous, thought she should say something to the group about their behavior. This didn’t go over well with the girls, who shoved her out of the train at the 7th Avenue stop.

The group then commenced to kicking and stomping her relentlessly. A man who had seen the whole altercation rushed in to help, and transit police arrested the group.

Amanda was rushed to the hospital and treated for a serious concussion, cuts and bruises. While her mother is proud of her for standing up for her beliefs, she adds “sometimes you gotta pick and choose your battles,” her mom told WCBS.
