Baltimore Police Brutality: Man paralyzed after 10 block ride to police station, dies

A disturbing phone video out of Baltimore has become crucial evidence of the latest apparent cover up of police brutality, after a Baltimore man died from injuries received in police custody.

Last week on April 12, Freddy Gray was walking in a Baltimore neighborhood when he was suddenly approached by Baltimore City officers patrolling on bicycles. It's not known at this time, why he was stopped, or why he ran..

The police said that he was restrained on the ground by an officer during the arrest, but appeared to be fine when he was taken to a police station 10 blocks away. However, a cell phone video shows that the arresting officers used force that some may seen as "brutal. Somehow in that short span of time, 80% of Gray's spine was severed at the neck.

He later underwent surgery on three broken vertebrae and an injured voice box last Tuesday, after being released by the police. He died Sunday after days of remaining in a coma.

A criminal investigation has been launched along with a full internal review.
