The one thing special about accepting Jesus is that his covering upon your life erases all your mistakes away. Today we are talking about being in the presence of God and letting the fight of your life be only between you and him. We pray that God blesses you with this message as we further this gospel across the globe.

Suddenly Autobiography
Written by Samuel Kalala

I am a man born in Canada and of African Heritage, 50% Congolese and 25% Nigerian. I have always grew knowing that it meant something special, not catching the accent but still loving who I am and where I come from has been an essential part of my life. It might not be surprising but my family practically raised me in church-like seriously. Our family goes to church every sunday and with this, my christian faith has became a major part of who I am and the source of my faith has been the person I wish to follow and his name who many know is Jesus Christ whom we declare is the son of God. It’s not just some feeling you feel in the whisper of the dark, to me it’s life and to me he’s always by me

Growing up in church got so serious that at age 3, I actually began to preach. I asked my parents if they recalled some of the stuff I did and they said that I would always set up a little church in my room and apparently my audience was stuffed animals who loved what I was doing. As I thought about it, it was so precious that I understood why so many years later I’m doing what I do today. After Elementary and Middle School which was boring, I headed to Maplewood High School, a school for students that have a learning disability in one aspect. I didn’t think mine was important cause it was about reading but the board had looked back at my previous files that showed I had a issue with reading and language. Now you can’t get me to shut up.

Believe it or not, being in the school I was for that year was very miserable, I felt like I couldn’t express myself or reach my potential I knew was there. It drove me to consider using my faith and asking guidance counsellors a request to transfer. After a year of exams, they finally figured out I was ready, not wanting to let me go they made promises if I stayed to help me get recognized for work I did for them but I knew my life had to go another direction. I finally enrolled in Sir Robert L Borden Business and Technical Institute, a hands on school with much emphasis on attitude and integrity. After working on the announcements, receive a gold medal in Skills Canada for prepared speech and launching two video channels to upload sermons. On Graduation day, I had the honour to receive 5 awards which also featured become the 2014 Valedictorian.

A lot of people ask me Why not go to university now? and I say that the requirements to get into University is very high so I thought about joining into the Communications and Media Foundations Program which I know after much work could catapult me to another level.
