Detained NYU student Joo says he wanted to be arrested

Now,... to the latest on the NYU student detained in North Korea.
Joo Won-moon..., a South Korean national and permanent U.S. resident, deliberately entered the communist state late last month.
In an interview with CNN released on Tuesday,... the 21-year old said he ...quote..., "wanted to be arrested".
In an upbeat mood,..Joo said that he hoped his illegal entrance could have a good effect on relations between North and South Korea.
He added that he wanted to show the world that an ordinary college student like him... could enter the state illegally and return home safely,... "with the generous treatment of the DPRK."
Joo crossed barbed wire fences and a river to enter North Korea... near the Great Wall of China in Dandong.
He said he'd been thinking about the trip since February and couldn't get it out of his mind.
