Loeber-Bottero’s art book : « Night in Venice ».
For over twelve years, the photographer Stephan Loeber-Bottero has covered every inch of the labyrinths of the Serinissima to build a very personal vision of Venice, both poetic and extraordinary. His photographs were all taken at night and give the city a very original atmosphere, hardly disturbed by the presence of people. The book revolves around a series of five nighttime strolls which provide a new insight into the corners of the city, noble or popular, sumptuous or modest, sacred or profane. The reader is led progressively into the mystery of Venice seen from a different angle that will change his mind about everything he thought he knew about the city.
The detailed maps of the different strolls are the final touch to an invitation to a very special journey. A short anthology about “night in Venice” as an annex brings together texts by Goldoni, Boïto, George Sand, Casanova, Marcel Proust and others.

aux Editions Gourcuff Gradenigo : pendant plus de douze ans, le photographe Loeber-Bottero a parcouru le labyrinthe de la Sérénissime pour construire sa vision d’une Venise poétique et insolite. Ses photographies, faites au coeur de la nuit, rendent ainsi compte d’une atmosphère silencieuse, rarement troublée par une présence humaine.
Le livre s’organise autour de promenades nocturnes qui invitent chacune à la rencontre avec des lieux inspirés, nobles ou populaires, fastueux ou modestes, sacrés ou profanes.
Le lecteur est ainsi amené à rentrer progressivement dans le mystère de Venise, et son regard s’en trouve modifié.
