Carjacking fail: dumb Houston criminals try to steal car, but can’t drive stick shift
  • 9 years ago
Two Houston teens got more than they bargained for when they attempted to carjack a medical student, only to discover they had no idea how to drive a car with a stick shift.

Anthony Evans-Warner, 17, and his 15-year-old partner in crime threatened the student at gun point. When they couldn’t drive the car, they forced the victim to teach them how to drive the manual transmission.

When the teens felt they had the hang of it, they kicked the suspect out, who immediately called police.

Officers apprehended the suspects a short time later after noticing the car driving very slowly. The teens ditched the car and tried to flee on foot but were quickly taken into custody.

The 15-year-old’s name was not released because he is a juvenile.

Both teens face charges including aggravated robbery.
