Riva punches a mean kick, don’t mess with this pretty lady

This week’s hey lady! sports girl is Riva!
As you can probably tell she’s a martial arts enthusiast.
Watch out for that spinning side kick!
She’s a third degree black belt in Taekwondo and instructs junior high and high school students.
Taekwondo had its beginnings in Korea during the 1940’s and 1950’s, although it would be another 25 years before the martial art was unified. Most Taekwondo taught around the world today in civilian martial arts schools is a unified version regulated by the World Taekwondo Federation.
Taekwondo is also only one of two martial arts that is considered an Olympic sport.
Maybe someday Riva will be able to represent Taiwan in the Olympics!
