A physician accused of trading drug prescriptions for sexual favors had his medical license temporarily suspended last week in Texas.
Dr. Thomas V. Taylor, 71, the chief of academic surgery at St. Joseph Medical Center was caught on camera by two anonymous patients bribing them painkillers for oral sex.
The lawsuit, which seeks monetary relief of over $100,000 dollars, was filed by attorney Peter Schneider on behalf of his two anonymous clients.
A hidden camera shows Dr. Taylor having oral sex performed on him inside an exam room about a month ago in exchange for narcotics.
The lawsuit claims, the male patient first visited Dr. Taylor for a surgery and afterward was prescribed Norco and Xanax.
The suit states that both the male and female patient were prescribed thousands of pills of medically unnecessary narcotics in exchange for sexual favors over many instances.
On Friday, The Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended Dr. Taylor’s medical license.
Attorney Peter Schneider believes that Dr. Taylor has since fled to London.
The lawsuit is set for sometime next year.
