Lying to your girlfriend: bad idea when she’s underaged and blackmail makes it worse

This week a judge sentenced a taxi driver to 6 years in jail for statutory rape by sleeping with a 14-year-old middle school student and then attempting to blackmail her.

The two met online where the cabbie lied and said he was a photographer who worked for a famous advertising firm. He even went so far as to rent photo studios where he could take photos of the 14 year old girl as part of the charade.

The two started dating and hooked up for sex more than a dozen times, but that’s not including all the sexting the two did. The girl even sent naked photos of herself to the cabbie when they couldn’t be together.

Unfortunately for the cabbie, all good things must come to an end and eventually the teenager clued in and realized she’d been tricked so she dumped him.

The cabbie then threatened to publish all the sexting and nude photos online if she left him, however she beat him to the punch and reported the blackmailing to the police.

When the police realized she was underage, they decided to arrest the man for statutory rape and charge him with blackmail to boot.

But honestly? He really dug his own grave on this one.
