Baby abduction video footage: Meth addict dad smuggles his newborn out of Arizona hospital

An Arizona father who smuggled his 2-day-old baby girl out of a hospital maternity ward in a plastic shopping bag has been charged with child abuse and drug possession, according to a New York Daily News report.
The newborn girl had traces of morphine, marijuana as well as methamphetamine in her system, Glendale police say. She was brought to the hospital after being born at home.
Police arrested Jason Matthew Bristol after surveillance video showed him kidnapping his daughter out of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center.
Police say the parents fearing the state would take custody of their child, concocted a scheme to kidnap the baby.
Bristol allegedly placed his daughter in a plastic shopping bag with a blanket covering her face before bolting out of the hospital room.
When nurses walked into the patient’s room to investigate, they couldn't find the newborn.
Bristol managed to get one nurse to wave a security card to deactivate the alarm, so that he could bypass security and leave.
Glendale police say he made it all the way home before he was finally caught.
