Ahmedabad: The health screening report has thrown open some dismal numbers. Of the 11.24 lakh children of schools and Anganwadis across city who were screened in December 2014, 106 are suffering from cancer, 207 have heart ailments, 151 children have kidney related problems, 8,000 children have weak eyesight and 14,000 children have various skin and teeth problems. The report has shocked the officials. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) official said that malnutrition is the main cause of health issues among children.
