Fan’s doctor Chao Ming-kit vouches for Fan against the objects of senior doctor Lui. After his release Fan has trouble coping with life back in society, is harassed by his mother in law who is pretending to help him and is supported by Chow who’s career is rapidly progressing and becoming increasingly arrogant.
