Photoshop Tutorial: How to Create a Color-Popped Effect Image in Photoshop.
Professional Photographer & Adobe Certified Lightroom & Photoshop Expert Geoff Cable of the GC2 Photo Club demonstrates how to create a composite image containing mostly black & white (mono) with some selective colour showing through using Photoshop powerful layer masks.
Color popping, as it's know, is very popular among photographers and client s alike and, although it's been around for some time now, it still amazes clients when they see the finished image.
Follow the tutorial and give some thought to the areas of your images that you'd like to keep in colour. Be very selective as too much color spoils the effect and not enough colour and you lose the perspective of the effect.
It is essential to minimize post-shoot editing time, especially if you're a professional trying to make a profit. The less time you spend in your digital darkroom the more time you can spend on other money-making tasks.
