Follow the music, admire the art, place yourself inside historic architecture, in Telesur's "Cultura Latina". In this week's program, host Mauricio Izquierdo introduces us to an Argentine rock star and a Peruvian political cartoonist. The concerts of Argentina's most famous rock musician, Carlos “El Indio” Solari, tend to draw as many as 200,000 people. Many fans and observers believe that his influence on popular culture is due to his political viewpoint defined as “radical autonomism.” Carlos Tovar, better known as “Carlín,” is Peru´s best known political cartoonist and his work often goes viral on social media. Critics say he has the ability to synthesize political events with a remarkable sense of humor that highlights the absurdity of social, political and economic situations.
