A touching documentary about the lives and identity of Korean Japanese living in Japan.
Seventeen-year-old Seon-hwa is studying at Keonguk School, which is a Korean school located in Osaka, Japan. Although Japanese is the main language in class, students also learn Korean, Korean history, and Korean geography. Seon-hwa is also a member of the after-school Korean samulnori club. This traditional art club will represent Osaka at the national performing arts competition for high school students. The camera follows the club's practice leading up to the competition and shows how the students grow and change in the process.

주인공인 열일곱살 소녀 선화는 오사카에 있는 민족학교인 "건국학교"에 다닌다. 일상의 수업은 일본어로 진행되지만 한국어, 국사, 한국지리 등을 따로 배우고 특별활동으로 사물놀이를 한다. 선화가 속한 사물놀이반은 일본 고등학교 종합예술대회에 오사카부를 대표해 출전할 예정이다. 이들의 연습과정부터 본선대회 진출까지 아이들의 일상과 학교생활, 그 속에 담긴 성장과정을 밀착된 카메라로 차분히 담아낸다.
