Really the Blues - Carlings 1993
Really the blues was written by Sidney Bechet and recorded in 1938 by Tommy Ladnier’s Orchestra together with Sidney Bechet and Mezz Mezzrow and the tune title was used for the 1946 autobiography of American jazz clrinettist Mezz Mezzrow.
It is interesting to see and hear clarinettist Max together with Gerd on trombone harmonize the famous solo Bechet and Mezzrow did on that original recording. These youngsters have done so much research on the history of jazz.
