N. Korea to send 108 athletes to Gwangju Universiade

Hello everyone. I'm Steven Choi with the sports brief.
The 2015 Summer Universiade in Gwangju will be one of the biggest global sporting events this year with 170 countries taking part, including our neighbors to the north.
North Korea plans to send 108 athletes and officials to the university-level event to participate in eight sports, including gymnastics and athletics, which they've excelled in.

The North has not missing a single Universiade in the last decade, so the move was widely expected.

With that, Gwangju organizers expressed support for the torch relay to make a run through the border village of Panmunjom as a gesture of goodwill, ahead of event's start on July 3rd.
