For those of you out there wondering why I'm spending my time on Disney sequels, I present to you my number one answer. This song is just wonderful and if you hadn't been told it was from a direct-to-video movie, I doubt you would have known differently. Say what you will about this film (And people have), its music was simply top notch.
It's been three years since I last worked on Beauty and the Beast and I still have people asking me why Fluttershy isn't Belle. I'm sorry to all those out there who think she's better suited, but I simply just don't see it. If your reasoning is she's the prettiest and the song "Belle" needs somepony who doesn't know she's pretty, then you're only looking skin deep. If you want Discord to play Beast and you want somepony who has good dynamic with him in the show, then you're letting another character dominate your cast too much. And if you think Belle and Fluttershy are similar because they are both loners, as one person tried to lecture to me, than you have made a grave error in your reasoning.
Fluttershy is a loner because she is shy and is actively afraid of others. Belle isn't shy in the least, she gets along with the bookstore owner in the beginning just fine. Belle is a loner because everyone else is boring and don't share her interests, not because she's scared of talking to anyone. Belle is a very outgoing person who's just a little quirky and likes books too much, which is why I will never be convinced Twilight isn't the best possible choice for this role!
Alright, roll a persuasion check to see if you gain control of My Little Pony and Disney. You get a +4 bonus for that cunning ploy that got you this far, but a -20 penalty because you don't actually have any money. And... a 2. Impressive you still got a positive number, but not enough. And now their lawyers get a surprise attack, so roll initiative...
