Mumbai: BMC chopped down 50 trees in Juhu, residents irked - Tv9 Gujarati

Mumbai: The civic body's Tree Authority has asked for a forensic examination of more than 50 trees in Juhu, which have been chopped down by BMC except for their trunks. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has said that these trees were infected by bugs, but the residents have countered that they were "systematically poisoned", possibly at the behest of the builders.
