Germany bids farewell to former president with state funeral

A state funeral has been held for Germany’s former president Richard von Weizsaecker who died last month aged 94. He presided over the reunification of East and West Germany in 1990 and will probably be best remembered for speaking out about the country’s special responsibility after World War Two.
