L'aéroport de Châteauroux-Centre rénove un hangar de 16.000 m2 construit en 1957 par les Américains. Il servait à assurer la maintenances des appareils de l'US Air Force. Plusieurs entreprises ont répondu aux appels d'offres pour réaliser ce chantier estimé à 450.000 € dont une équipe de peintres cordistes. Ils travaillent à quarante mètres de hauteur pour repeindre des poutrelles métalliques montées selon la technique Eiffel.
