[SpaceX] Dragon CRS-5 Launch Aborted, Next Attempt Friday 9th Jan
  • 9 years ago
With just 90 seconds to launch a hold was called in the launch attempt of SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket today carrying the Dragon CRS-5 Spacecraft for NASA full of cargo to the International Space Station.

The hold was called due to actuator drift in the second stage thrust vector control (TVC) system. the TVC gimbals the rocket engine for directional control of the stage.

Due to the 1 second launch window any hold results in an automatic scrub of the launch for the day. The next attempt will be Friday 9th January at 10:09 UTC.
