Siqueira's physical condition puts him on hold for match against Real Madrid

Madrid, Jan 14 (EFE).- Atletico Madrid's Brazilian defender Guilherme Siqueira did not take part in the team's last training session due to muscle strain in his left thigh and might have to miss the second-leg King's Cup match against crosstown rivals Real Madrid Thursday at Santiago Bernabeu.
Siqueira, who played the last minutes of the La Liga game against Barcelona Sunday at Camp Nou, worked out in the gym during Tuesday's afternoon training session. His status is day-to-day, the club said.
Midfielder Ruben Garcia, 'Cani', was also given specific work, while Argentinian player Cristian Ansaldi, who is still recovering from the knee he sprained on Dec. 3 and could not join the session, will once again have to watch the match from the bench.
