I made this video for the Volvo Ocean Race (SCA All-Female Team, Awe-Inspiring Women) Ad Competition. Since I had only one week to make it before the deadline, I decided to go with archival footage and make it educationally campy and surreal. It was not really fitting the brief, but I thought I would do it anyway to see what it was like venturing into Crowdsourcing. The ironic things is, I stopped watching TV over 20 years ago.
PS: I wanted to add transparent ocean waves above the film images so that it appeared that the boats were floating metaphorically on the memories of "housewife", but there was no time to do it correctly before the deadline...and as it was, it took me awhile to fix the film's soundtrack, improve the image, transform the clipArt, animate, find sound sources, etc....so another incomplete-weird Julie-Prod.
