House of Artist & Designer Daniel Chadwick

home of kinetic sculptor Daniel Chadwick and his family dressed in white, English barons oozes charm-all turrets, towers and Gothic windows. Inside, the Victorian mansion, perched on a slope in the picturesque hills about 112 kilometers west of London Cotswold is a collection of mobile, metal sculptures cast and roundel large-scale canvases by his friend and fellow artist Damien Hirst . He was the father of Daniel, the modernist sculptor Lynn Chadwick, who bravely paled inside the Gothic pile, which shares with his wife Juliet Daniel and Eva and Caspar children. "I have regular moments of incredible pleasure in this house," reflects Chadwick, "for example, when the sun shines through the windows on the wooden floor and walls." A one-time collaborator with Zaha Hadid, working with her in the Vitra Fire Station Campus, among other buildings, Chadwick has focused his creative energy from various design projects, including the creation of a portable pizza oven favored by gourmet including Margot Henderson, and plans to convert the grounds of Lypiatt park in a sculpture park dedicated to the work of his father, the largest project in Britain.
