While many effects of global warming on our world can be seen today, there are also numerous reports that warn us about the risks in near future. Now, a new study says almost seven-thousand homes around the UK will be lost to the rising seas over the next century.

According to a report by Britain's Environment Agency, the homes will fall into the sea because of coastal erosion. Those homes and buildings worth a total of one-billion pounds and they'll be allowed to fall into the sea since the cost of protecting them would be far greater. The research also predicts that more than 800 buildings will be lost during the next two decades. This is while the Royal Society had earlier warned that coastal populations in the UK are hugely at risk from extreme weather conditions due to rising sea levels and global warming.
