Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter split - People

Movie director Tim Burton and British actress Helena Bonham Carter have separated after 13 years, says People magazine.
The pair, who never married, parted earlier this year but have remained friends and co-parents to their two children, Carter's representative told People.
Fifty-six-year old Burton met the 48-year-old actress in 2001 while shooting the film "Planet of the Apes".
Since then the pair have worked on several movies together, including "Sweeney Todd" and "Alice in Wonderland".
