The decision to cancel a forthcoming comedy which depicts the fictional assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has drawn widespread criticism on Twitter.

A post via Ben Stiller's Twitter account read:
Tweet published by @RedHourBen, reading (English):
"Really hard to believe this is the response to a threat to freedom of expression here in America. #TheInterview"
And Steve Carell posted.
Tweet published by @SteveCarell, saying (English):
"Sad day for creative expression. #feareatsthesoul"
