Lowari tunnel, the only all-weather transportation facility for the 500,000 people of District Chitral which otherwise remains out-of-the-way during the winter season. With hundreds of vehicles waiting on both sides of the Lowari tunnel, thousands of passengers and goods transporters, forbidden for five days, have to wait for their turn to cross the tunnel on Saturdays and Sunday in a weekBut, on the other side the waiting people have got enough relief as they have the facilities of using wash rooms, hot water and waiting lodge, constructed by European Union in collaboration with SRSP and supervision of Chitral Scouts.
