Mumbai: Cabbies demand lunch breaks, right to refuse - Tv9 Gujarati

Mumbai: From the right to refuse passengers to fixed time schedules, a specified hour-long lunch break and ‘rest time’ for cab drivers, the Mumbai Taximen Union is determined to corporatise the taxi service in the city. The taxi drivers have come up with a plan, which, if approved by the Maharashtra government, will allow them to say ‘no’ to passengers and assign all taxis a ‘home station’ each.
