Kate visits New York City center for child development

The Duchess of Cambridge arrives in New York City and visits the Northside Center for Child Development in Harlem, Monday (December 8).

The Center provides mental health and educational services to families living in high-risk neighborhoods.

Kate, who is pregnant with their second child, remained in New York and was not present for William's meeting with President Barack Obama at the Oval Office, Monday.

The two men chatted amiably while reporters and photographers snapped pictures. Members of the media were ushered in and out of the room in less than two minutes. Obama and William did not make remarks.
