Hong Kong protesters vow to continue movement after police release organisers without charges

Their numbers are dwindling but some pro-democracy protesters are vowing to continue their movement in central Hong Kong... a day after some of the leaders turned themselves in to police.

Things were quiet Thursday morning at the make-shift village at the main protest site.

Some people were having a meal.... others were tending to housekeeping ...

One protester said the leaders did the right thing going to the police.

11. (SOUNDBITE) (English) 22 YEAR-OLD UNIVERSITY STUDENT AND PRO-DEMOCRACY PROTESTER BEAN CHOW, SAYING:

"If they go to the police, they have paid their responsibility to the society."

On Wednesday three leaders surrendered to police for their role in the protests that the government has labelled illegal.

Occupy Central with Love and Peace co-founder Benny Tai says they were basically asked to tell on themselves.
