France's budget situation improves

The French finance minister says next year’s budget deficit will be lower than had been expected, at 4.1% of GDP. It’s good news for the government, which will have to face a second examination of its spending plans by the European Commission next March. Also, Kalashnikov attempts to rebrand itself with a softer image.
