ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

A woman was struck by a vehicle at a rally in Minneapolis on Tuesday (November 25), as sympathy protests spread to several U.S. cities, after a grand jury declined to indict a white policeman in the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri.

Video captures the car plowing through a crowd of protesters.

Authorities said the car driver was cooperating with police and that the victim sustained minor injuries.

The unrest surrounding Brown's death in Ferguson, a predominantly black city with a white-dominated power structure, underscored the often-tense nature of U.S. race relations and strained ties between African American communities and police.

Protests swelled from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., on Tuesday.
