Ukraine recently marked one year since the start of the Maidan protests that ultimately toppled Viktor Yanukovich. Since then, fresh elections have been held. The association agreement with the European Union, at the origin of the protests, has been signed. But what has Maidan really brought Ukraine other than Russia’s annexation of Crimea and the war in the east?
