In a debate moderated by TIMES NOW's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, panelists -- Brijesh Kalappa, Spokesperson, Congress; Binalaxmi Nepram, Social Activist; Dr Angam Hokip, Uncle of the Victim; and Satyapal Jain, Chairman, Working Legal Group & Member, National Executive, BJP -- discuss the issue of 2 Manipuri youth becoming victims of racist shame in Bengaluru, and whether Bengaluru is India's IT or intolerance capital.

A Manipuri student who came to the rescue of a girl being harassed by eve-teasers was allegedly assaulted by them at a locality in Bengaluru in the second such recent incident involving a youth from the northeast. All the three men who were drunk when the incident occurred last night were arrested today (Nov 20, 2014) and booked under various sections of IPC, including 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint) and Section 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), police said. The trio passed lewd comments at the girl and the 21-year-old student studying at a city college, who was passing by, confronted them for their misbehaviour, police said. Angered at his intervention, the trio assaulted the student, causing head injuries. He was taken to a hospital by passersby. Last month, a Manipuri student leader was beaten up by three men for not speaking in Kannada.
