Major fire broke out in Uri-II power project on Thursday (Nov. 20) morning. The fire that emanated from one of the transformers quickly spread to other parts of the power house. Around eight fire tenders were on job while some more have been called in from Baramullah town. 2300 crore Uri-II power house was recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his valley visit.
