Mass murderer Charles Manson gets marriage license, state says
  • 9 years ago
Mass murderer Charles Manson has been given permission to tie the knot.

The California Department of Corrections said he's been granted a marriage license and will be allowed to get married in prison.

Manson led a group of mostly young, female followers, aka the "family," to murder seven people, including actress Sharon Tate in 1969.

Prosecutors said it was intended to incite a race war.

The 80-year-old is serving a life sentence at California State Prison.

If the convicted killer does marry, he wouldn't be allowed overnight family visits, typically known as 'conjugal visits' in other states.

He would, however, be allow to have a ceremony in the visiting room.

His soon-to-be wife has not been identified.
