Another patient infected with Ebola has landed in the U.S.

And for a third time, a Nebraska hospital is taking charge.

Dr. Martin Salia, a Sierra Leonean surgeon and permanent U.S. resident, became infected while working in a Freetown hospital.

His flight from West Africa landed in Omaha at 2:45 p.m. local time Saturday.

Medical personnel in hazmat suits were seen on the tarmac transferring Salia to a waiting ambulance bound for Nebraska Medical Center.

Officials there have described Salia as critically ill.

So far the World Health Organization says the Ebola outbreak in West Africa has killed at least 5,100 people.

Salia would be the 10th known case of Ebola in the U.S. All but one was successfully treated.
