TV is evolving to a lot of shows! Amidst which, we had this recent one shooting up from Ashutosh Gowariker with his new show, Everest on Star Plus channel! The promos looked captivating and so did the story! It promised an unusual touch of women empowerment! But wait, with the show gone air, has it lived up to all our anticipations? To an extent yes, but not what we bid before! Like we have a story of Anjali played by Samata Anchan, who aspires to make it big and erase this regret of her dad’s denial on having a girl child! So she takes up to Everest only so that her father feels proud and takes back his denial! A touching thread but not in terms of execution! The story is weakly manipulated and looks too forced onto its screenplay! And even the performances lie poor! So this first impression hasn’t really sunk in well with us…but how about you? Thoughts please!
