The new series continues with Dresden's main landmark, the once flattened Frauenkirche of Church of Our Lady. First completed in 1743, it was restored according to the original plans of Baroque-era architect George Bähr after being fire-bombed by the Allies in 1945. An worldwide appeal for funds raised more than 110 million Euros. The local media talked of the "miracle of Dresden".
