According to Forbes magazine, Beyonce is the highest paid woman in music in 2014 with earnings of $115 million. Most of Beyonce's earnings come from her world tour and put her firmly ahead of Taylor Swift, who was second on the list with $64 million.

Pop singer Pink also had a good year, going from last year's number 8 to this year's third position with earnings of $52 million.

Fourth place was held by Rihanna who scooped $48 million, while Katy Perry rounded off the list in fifth place with a modest $40 million.
